Helmet-to-helmet collisions signaled the return of Fitchburg football tradition last Friday and for the first time in a long while, Red Raiders started the season with a win. The game was a hard battle fought, but our team showed great progress. I hope our kids can keep up with this intensity, get used of the high spirits of glory, and never lose sight of their goal.
Fitchburg is especially happy and proud for Red Raiders this year. Usually the quarterback or the coach gets the most praises but in reality, everybody on the team counts and every member makes a difference. Football is a team sport and every win that is achieved is because of everybody on it. Every member of the team, therefore, deserves everyone’s personal attention.
Being a part of the team is also true to life. Just like reality, football helps a person develop his ability to work with others, manage his time, persevere in practice and follow the rules of the game.
