“Millions saw the apples fall, but Newton was the only one who asked why.” - Bernard Baruch
Apple picking is a special treat in Fitchburg where Marshall Farm has been thriving for over 100 years. It’s a hallmark of fall, a feast for the senses, a wholesome activity for families, and a throwback to a simpler time when people weren’t so disconnected from nature.
Marshall Farm is the home of the famous, trademarked, Marshall Macintosh Apple. It offers many varieties of apples which you can pick on your own or buy in the farm store which also features fresh, farm grown vegetables, fruits, and other farm specialties. Aside from apple picking, the farm also provides amusement rides, an animal fun park, an outdoor play area, and more. It has a brand-new ice cream parlor and a country gift shop on site.
This weekend will be the grand opening celebration featuring a live entertainment from 1-5 pm. Everyone who buys a ticket into the fun park gets a free hot dog and tons of fun. So, go ahead, get some fresh air and mingle with the crowd!
