Looking for a place to indulge your craving for a burger without grabbing one at a local burger joint? Well, you’re in luck! Kalimba Grille has the best gourmet burger in Fitchburg and it’s conveniently located at Exit 30 off Route 2, up the hill from Kmart Plaza where Quiznos used to be.
Unlike its fastfood rivals, Kalimba Grille’s burgers are built from fresh ingredients and their meat is 100% organic. Branded as Wolfe’s Neck natural beef, the meat they exclusively use has never been treated with antibiotics, never received growth hormones and has never been fed animal by-products. Too good to be true, ain’t it? But here’s even more: there are enough choices for everyone to get something different and all burgers except the Kalimba are available in 8 oz. or 6 oz. sizes. They are served on a fresh buttered toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion and Kalimba sauce on the side and prices range from $6.09 to $7.29, depending on the size and kind you get.
It’s true - burgers have acquired artery-clogging reputation. But nutritionists say it’s okay to have a decent burger once in a while. After all, a burger is still a good source of iron and protein. Just don’t make burgers your daily meal.
